Glossary of Terms

  • Contract - A contract is the representation of the features and billing period of a device.
  • Van Stock - Devices despatched from KES Installers Vans as opposed to our warehouse.
  • Customer Stock - Devices despatched directly from our warehouse to Customers.
  • Despatch - Device moving from Kingspan ownership to Customer ownership.
  • Service Fees (Tariff)- Minimum 12 months service period
  • Active Contract - Where the Service Fees (Tariff) and Warranty start at Despatch.
  • Pending Contract - Where the Service Fees (Tariff) start at Activation and Warranty starts at point of sale.
  • Consumer - A Domestic User address or Commercial Site where the unit is located.
  • Registration- The point where Tank and Consumer details are entered online.
  • Allocation- Links a unit to a Consumer and records Tank Details.
  • Service Code- A unique code used by our billing software to identify a service, these codes appear on the invoice.
  • Renewal Date- Expiry date of an active tariff and when it must renewed to continue service.
  • WAP- A Watchman Anywhere Pro device.
  • WA- A Watchman Anywhere device.
  • Device- A Watchman Anywhere or Watchman Anywhere Pro.

Why isn't the site displaying correctly?

One of the major causes of this is data from an old version is stored or cached in your browser, so the first step is to clear your cache.
You can do this on IE, Chrome and Firefox by pressing Ctrl Key + Shift Key + Delete Key. Then select the options in the box and press Clear/Delete.

A contract can be set in a 'Do Not Renew' state and will not be renewed on the next billing cycle.

Can a contract be reactivated?

If the the contract is still in a 'Do Not Renew' state it can be set back to 'Active'

If I delete an allocation does this cancel a contract?

No. The contract still needs to be set to a 'Do Not Renew' state, otherwise it will remain active.

Customer Stock Contract Terms

Minimum contract term is 1 Year, paid in advance. These can be sold as Active or Pending


Van Stock Contract Terms

Van Stock Contracts are always Active.

Minimum contract term is 1 year, paid in advance.

Van Stock Orders will always have an installation fee which are shown in the table below.


Van Stock Installation Charge Rules

Installation charges are dependant upon the size and material of the Tank and the type of premises (e.g. Domestic or Commercial). The table below illustrates these rules.

This table displays the Service Codes, Call Frequency and Service Length for the Service Fees (Tariff).

Contract Renewal

Contracts will be renewed if not explicitly cancelled before the renewal date, including units with deleted allocations.

Only cancelled Contracts will not be renewed.


2 Year Contracts

The Commercial Team offer 2 Year Contracts. The Tariff is paid for 2 Years in advance at point of despatch and will be billed for another 2 years at renewal.


3 Year Contracts

The Commercial Team offer 3 Year Contracts. The Tariff is paid for 3 Years in advance at point of despatch and will be billed for another 3 years at renewal.

Invoices For Service Fees

  • Service fee invoices for all customers are raised no earlier than the 15th of each month.
  • Invoices raised will contain Service Fees for all Contracts due for renewal within that month.
  • A pre-billing notification will be sent to customers 2 weeks in advance.

Uninstalled Units

  • Units still uninstalled after the expiry date will be cancelled completely, if the expiry date has not been reached it can be forced renewed so the contract will not be cancelled (only with an Active Contract).
  • Forced renewal must be done annually.
  • This only applies to units in Customer Stock, Van Stock units are unaffected by this rule.

Weekly to Daily

Units sold as Weekly can be changed to Daily during the first year but they are then locked at that tariff and cannot be changed back.

Battery Warranty Reduction

If seven or more Daily Calls are made by a Unit the Battery Warranty is reduced to the Daily Caller Warranty Agreement.

Ordering System

  • Customers are able to place orders directly on connectsensor.com to replace out of warranty units or any failing units.
  • This system charges the customer for the unit only, the tariff will be inherited from the unit being replaced.
  • Units are sent directly to the consumer
  • Invoices will be produced automatically apart from Engineer installs which are invoiced separately.
